Abstract

The treatment for squamous cell carcinoma of the upper aerodigestive tract includes surgery, radiation therapy (RT), chemotherapy or a combination of various modalities. Familiarization with the expected imaging changes following therapy allow accurate evaluation of imaging studies and may prevent misinterpretation of post-treatment changes as recurrent disease. The intent of this manuscript will be to review the post-treatment appearance of the larynx following RT and various types of laryngectomy.
